A Beloved Brinnon Tradition Since 1993

The Brinnon Shrimp Festival has been a cherished community tradition since 1993. For more than three decades, this special event has brought neighbors, families, and visitors together to celebrate Brinnon while supporting meaningful local causes.

Through the years, thanks to the dedication of the Emerald Towns Alliance, festival proceeds have helped fund countless community initiatives. Donations have supported the Brinnon School, the Brinnon Fire Association, community centers in Brinnon and Quilcene, local food banks, and many other worthwhile projects. ShrimpFest has always been about community, connection, and giving back.

For the second year, the event will be managed by the Brinnon Fire Association, and we are proud to continue this tradition of service while helping strengthen the Brinnon community for future generations.

Now a free community event, last year nearly 4,000 people came to enjoy ShrimpFest in the Brinnon Town Center. Through spot shrimp sales and sponsorships, thousands of dollars were raised to purchase a new AED for Brinnon School and provide staff training on how to use it confidently and effectively.

“PT Leader: New Brinnon ShrimpFest Triumps”

This year, our focus is on supporting the Brinnon/Quilcene Youth Cadet Program. Funds raised will help provide equipment and personal protective gear for cadets as we continue building a pathway toward a certified CTE program for local youth interested in careers in firefighting, EMS, nursing, and healthcare.

When you attend ShrimpFest, you are not just joining a celebration—you are investing in the future of our community.

The Brinnon & Quilcene Fire Cadet Program is a hands-on leadership and training opportunity for youth ages 14–17 who are interested in firefighting, EMS, and public safety. Cadets learn valuable skills such as CPR, first aid, hose operations, rescue techniques, teamwork, and emergency preparedness while working alongside experienced firefighter and EMS mentors. Beyond training, the program builds confidence, discipline, and community service values while creating a strong pathway for future firefighters, EMTs, and community leaders. By investing in local youth, the program helps strengthen the future safety and readiness of our community.
